Yesterday was a good day. I had been struggling for the last week to figure out how to move forward with my journey. I had contacted a number of photographers about the idea of pro bono assisting and had a few nibbles but nothing very firm. Then came yesterday when:
- Mike, an old college friend and colleague at Voxify, introduced me to a photographer acquaintance of his, Kevin Twomey (http://www.kevintwomey.com/), at the opening of his show at The Bone Room (http://www.boneroompresents.com). Kevin was super nice (and his pictures are beautiful) and we are arranging to meet next week to see if I can help him.
- I talked to Patricia Wilson, the executive director for the Bay Area Make A Wish foundation (who I was introduced to by Jay, another friend from Voxify) and she asked me to be one of their photographers at their Croquet Invitational on May 14th.
- Danielle overheard a fitness instructor who teaches a class after hers talking about needing a photographer and got her card. I sent her an email this morning.
So I’m feeling pretty good today….
